“Honeycomb has no business being this loud. That’s rather why I like it.”
Crunchie
$2.59 · 1.4 oz (40 g)
Golden honeycomb toffee, crisp and light and full of air, under a generous coat of Cadbury milk chocolate. Delicately brittle - it shatters on the first bite, then melts away.
Fry's launched it from Bristol in 1929 as a copy of the Violet Crumble, an Australian bar that had got there sixteen years earlier. Fry's had merged with Cadbury a decade before that, so it was a Cadbury bar from the start. Britain spent the 1980s being told to get that Friday feeling.
The honeycomb goes everywhere and sticks to your teeth, which is the entire appeal and not a design fault.
