How quickly we pack
Every order is packed by hand, usually within 1–2 business days. Orders placed after 2pm ET are packed the next business day, and we don't pack on weekends or public holidays.
As soon as your parcel leaves us, you'll get an email with a tracking link.
Delivery options and cost
Delivery is $6.95 anywhere in the lower 48 states. Alaska, Hawaii and APO/FPO addresses are a little more, and the exact cost for your address is shown at checkout before you pay.
Orders of $50 or more ship free, and every gift box ships free whatever it costs. Your box shows what delivery will cost and how far you are from free delivery as you add sweets.
Delivery estimates are counted in business days from the day your parcel leaves us, not the day you order. Add our packing time to work out when it should land.
Where we ship
We ship anywhere in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, and to APO/FPO addresses. Military mail takes longer and tracking stops at the handover, so allow extra time.
We can't ship outside the US yet. If you're in Britain, you have the run of an entire country of sweet shops, and we're a bit jealous.
Warm weather and chocolate
Chocolate and summer delivery vans are not natural friends. From late spring through September we ship Monday to Wednesday only, so nothing spends a weekend sitting in a depot.
Even so, chocolate can soften in transit when it's hot. That's normal, it isn't spoiled, and it sets again after a couple of hours somewhere cool — though the surface may end up a little pale, which is just the cocoa butter rearranging itself.
If something arrives genuinely beyond saving, tell us and we'll replace it.
How your order is packed
Most orders travel in a padded mailer, packed by hand — it keeps postage down, which is how we can offer free shipping at a sensible threshold. Gift boxes arrive in an actual box.
The box you build on this site is a picture of your order, not the packaging it turns up in.
Tracking your order
We email a tracking link the moment your parcel leaves us. It can take up to 24 hours for the carrier to scan it into their system, so don't worry if it looks stuck at label created to begin with.
Can't find the email? Check your spam folder, then let us know and we'll send it again.
If something arrives damaged
We're sorry — tell us within 14 days of delivery, with your order number and a photo of the damage, and we'll put it right. A photo of the packaging as well as the sweets helps us take it up with the carrier.
If your parcel doesn't arrive
Carriers occasionally mark a parcel delivered a day before it actually lands, so it's worth giving it 48 hours and checking with anyone else at the address first.
After that, get in touch with your order number and we'll chase it with the carrier.
Wrong or undeliverable addresses
We print the address exactly as it's given at checkout, so do have a quick look before you pay — an apartment number missing is the usual culprit.
If a parcel is returned to us as undeliverable we'll refund the sweets. Sending it out again means paying postage a second time, which we'll always let you know about first.
Delays we can't control
Once your parcel is with the carrier, the journey is theirs. Weather, holiday backlogs and the occasional depot muddle can all add a day or two, and none of it shows up in the estimate you saw at checkout.
We'll help you chase anything that's genuinely lost, but we can't promise a delivery date the carrier hasn't promised us.
Christmas cut-off dates
We post the last order dates for Christmas delivery here each November, along with the dates we're closed over the holidays.
Our advice, every year: order earlier than you think you need to. December post is its own kind of weather.
